Differentation strategy of the week... Produce different versions of the information (worksheet, clue-sheets, etc...) to meet the different readings ages of your students.
This one works well, we have some students who cannot access the work and are very shy about their difficulties. This allows them to access the work at their own level.
I tend to put two versions of a worksheet back to back. The questions are always the same, but the support and scaffold are different. I will explain why one side is more challenging than the other, but allow the pupils to choose discreetly which side they will attempt. Most pupils want to challenge themselves, but they can still turn over if they need prompts on an individual question.
